Xbox 360 moves 750,000 consoles during Black Friday

Wow … and the Xbox just keeps on chugging along.  Microsoft managed to move more than 750,000 consoles in the US during the week of Black Friday.  Yes an “old” console beat the snot out of the newly released Wii U.  The 750,000 consoles exceeded the expectations of Microsoft.  Not only did the console move like Jagger, but software was impressive as well.  Halo 4 and Xbox Live Gold subscriptions also exceeded expectations.

The Xbox 360 will also continue to offer consumers great value throughout the holiday season with a variety of special offers and pricing plans.  A $50-off pricing promotion on select Xbox 360 consoles and three holiday bundles that include everything your family will need to experience all Xbox 360 has to offer are available now at participating retailers through Jan. 5, while supplies last.

October marked the 22nd consecutive month as the top-selling console in the U.S. (Source: NPD Group, October 2012).

If you don’t already have an Xbox 360 then now is as good a time to get one while these deals are popping up everywhere.

  1. Sony sold over 525,000 PlayStation 3 consoles in the U.S. during Black Friday (18th-24th) – So Sony has a good possibility to outsell the 360 Worldwide for the month of November. Hell, the Ps3 is very close to the total amount of 360’s sold with a year less on the market, and with more expensive hardware. = Expect the Ps3 to be #2 in the World by the end of 2013.
