Gears of War frontman, Cliffy B, leaves Epic Games
And the bodies at Epic Games continue to hit the floor. Following Rod Fergusson’s exit, Epic Games’ design director, Cliff Bleszinski, has decided to call it quits too. I’m not sure if this means anything to the future of Gears of War games or Epic Games in general but I can tell you that I’m not really shedding any tears. The guy is a millionaire and stands to make even more in residual income so I think he’ll be ok. Well played Cliff .. well played.

You’ve given me and millions of other gamers a ton of enjoyment and for that I thank you my friend. Gears of War is one of my favorite game universes and I have Mr. B. to think for that. I’m sure he’ll be fine. We all need a little break from time to time and when you throw in a new bride, I’m sure she wants more of the Cliff. (if you know what I mean)
“I’ve been doing this since I was a teenager, and outside of my sabbatical last year, I have been going non-stop. I literally grew up in this business,” Bleszinski said. “And now that I’m grown up, it’s time for a much needed break. I will miss the projects, the playtests, the debates, and most importantly, the people.”
What do you think of all the changes at Epic Games recently?

Cliffy B has done all he can with the Gears series so nothing wrong with moving on. But like you said Deacon, he’s made his millions so he just wants to enjoy it.
