Treyarch has done a good job with the Call of Duty games they’ve developed going back to Call of Duty World at War. With Black Ops 2 coming in a couple of months, Treyarch has released some additional info on Black Ops 2′s Zombie mode which looks to expand the gameplay even further. Here are a few details and a gameplay trailer below to check out:
Tranzit: This new 4 player campaign mode is fairly simple: blast any zombies that get in your way in order for you and your friends to advance to the next location. Based on the trailer, players can get around by either a bus or on foot. Not too much info has been given about the story but this is a nice addition.
Survival Mode: This mode has returned to Black Ops 2 which is a survival mode that can be played solo or with 4 players. Here, you build your defenses and try to hold out as long as you can against the zombies that try to break through. I really had fun playing this mode in the first Black Ops and this looks to be just as enjoyable.
Grief: This competitive multiplayer mode takes on a different gameplay than other multiplayers. This mode is set up where two teams of 4 players go against each other in a fight to see which team can outlast the other. But unlike other Call of Duty multiplayer games, you can’t shoot your opponent. Instead, you must “grief” them and use the zombies to do the killing for you. Not too much detail has been given as to how to use this “grief” element, but it should be interesting.
Treyarch has really added some meat to Black Ops 2- Zombie mode compared to the zombie modes on World at War and Black Ops that felt like just add ons but were still fun to play.
