PlayStation 3 gets new design, will Xbox follow?
I have to admit. As little as I play my PS3, I still very much love the design of it. I don’t like the original design but the first “slim” rebuild was really cool. Sony is at it again with a new look for its PlayStation 3 console. I love it. It’ll only be $269 beginning September 25th and perhaps even cheaper if you opt for a non-bundled version.

We are also excited to announce that the launch of this new PS3 model will include incredible additional value. The 250GB PS3 will be available on September 25th for $269.99 (MSRP) as part of a limited edition bundle featuring UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception: Game of the Year Edition and a voucher for more than $30 worth of bonus digital content for the highly acclaimed digital title, DUST 514. This bundle offers more than $70 in total combined value.
That’s a great value! I’m going to be picking up one because currently my own resides at the home of my mother. Don’t ask! After reading this, I began to wonder if the Xbox 360 could use a refresh. What do you think? I’ve also wondered why the PS3 could actually get slimmer while the Xbox just gets a bit smaller and not necessarily less bulky like the PS3.
I guess it doesn’t matter. They both still play the same games before their redesigns.

While I could be wrong, I doubt that we’ll see another Xbox 360 console. Microsoft might drop the price, but I think that’s as far as they’ll go. The next version of the Xbox probably isn’t too far off at this point.

As soon as my xbox live Gold subscription runs out this month, I’m switching over to Sony PSN. free online play and if I get Plus I get free games, netflix, blu ray.
I’m done supporting microsoft, they really have dropped the ball after raising Gold price, and cluttering the dashboard with ads.
I play my PS Vita more than xbox live right now, and I dislike how xbox360 stopped supporting podcasts and the gaming community in general.
