Need for Speed Most Wanted has Kinect

Ok maybe it’s not like the Knight Rider and K.I.T.T. but Criterion Games is allowing you to speak to your car in Need for Speed Most Wanted.

“Need a boost of nitrous? Or maybe add some strength to your chassis? Just say it! Instead of going through the EasyDrive scrolling through endless  menu to add mods, in Most Wanted you can just say what you want.

For example, while you’re in your SVT Raptor, you can say “Mods, Nitrous, Burn Nitrous” and your car will instantly be equipped with an extra boost that you need. Need some slicks for the asphalt? Easy: “Mods, Tires, Slicks” and off you go.

Kinect is an awesome feature to use when you just can’t be bothered to stop driving. And really, who wants to do that?”

I have to say that if it works as easy as decribed, this should add a lot of value to Kinect and the game.

Only utilizing Kinect’s voice support is nothing really great, and could have been done using the XBL Headset instead… Like Rainbow Six 3 on the old XBOX.

I’m just not with any game that I have to scream into my Kinect to do something especially if I can just easily push a button on my controller. But at least the option is there if someone wants to use it. I’m a fan of Hot Pursuit myself. Most Wanted, not so much.
