Gaming in TruMotion 120Hz is pure magic!
Happy Monday gamers! My name is Deacon and I am a TruMotion addict … (from now on). This past weekend I did a little moving and a little connecting as I settled in to a brand new place. Along for the ride came my brand new LG 47″ Class Cinema 3D 1080p 120Hz LED TV with SmartTV and it was glorious.

For those of you who know me, you’ll probably guess that the most important feature of this new TV was the 1080p. I’m a sucker for a pretty picture and for as long as I can remember, it’s the only thing that mattered to me. I didn’t care about any refresh rate or Hz (hertz) etc. I figured as long as my eyes couldn’t tell the difference then my wallet would never know. I’m here to tell you that everything has changed and it’s because of TruMotion and LG.
When I finished mounting the TV, I immediately went to connect my Xbox 360 to get a little 3D and some play some Gears of War 3 in 1080p. What I didn’t know was that 1080p would become a second fiddle to TruMotion. When I booted Gears of War 3 up and began my attack on the Locust, I had to immediately pause the game. TruMotion had removed the shackles from my eyes and they were finally seeing gaming as it was meant to be played. I was seriously dying left and right before I paused and adjusted. After I took in the awesomeness that I was seeing from my LG, I returned to dominant form.
I am here to remove the egg from my face after so casually dismissing the importance of hertz and refresh rate. It matters ladies and gentlemen. Thanks to LG and its TruMotion 120Hz feature it was as if I was playing Gears of War 3 for the very first time.
Well done LG. Life (and gaming) is definitely GOOD! I can only imagine what TruMotion 240Hz is like on their newer TVs. Heaven perhaps?

Oh hi post! :p As I mentioned before I have my eye on the LG 42CS570 or LG 42LM6200 as my next TV depending on my wallet. Can’t wait to upgrade from my 22 inch computer monitor I’ve been using as a TV for a year. I’ll have the tissues ready to clean up my sploded head from the difference in picture.
