Kinect Star Wars finally coming, April 3

Remember that Limited Edition Star Wars Kinect bundle that was supposed to come out last year?  Well Microsoft is finally putting a date to its lightsaber.  April 3rd is the day that Star Wars Kinect ships alongside the special edition console.  The game will be $49.99 and the 320GB console bundle will be $449.99.  That’s  bit expensive for my tastes even if the console looks good.

Kinect Star Wars will feature five modes and those of you who purchase it along with the console bundle will get an exclusive C3PO character to engage in the Galactic ”Dance Off”.  You can find out more about the modes below.

Kinect Star Wars modes

• Jedi Destiny: Dark Side Rising (including space battles, speeder bikes and landspeeders and duels)
• Duels of Fate (“a battle-by-battle experience to sharpen your Jedi skills against the Dark Side”)
• Rancor Revenge
• Podracing
• Galactic Dance Off mode (“Star Wars-themed pop tunes where those still honing their Jedi skills can take a break to battle Darth Vader on the dance floor”)

What say you?

i’ll wait for a price drop first before I pick up this game. the kinect unit should have been painted like a lightsaber.

silver at one end for the handle and blue to represent the jedi blade.
