I haven’t been a fan of older titles coming to Xbox Live on Nokia Windows Phone recently.  Let’s face it they’ve picked some duds.  But that’s not the case with JoyBits’ Doodle God and its Windows Phone exclusive Quest challenges.  The game is simple and yet so complex at the same time.  All you do is try your hand at creation.  You are playing God and creating life, food, chaos, religion and more.  There are 4 basic elements that you start with and you must turn those into hundreds of different creations.  It’s nothing more than dragging (or clicking) two items together to see what they create.

Sound boring?   Actually, it couldn’t be any further from boring with this game.  I’ve been playing it nonstop just trying to create more and more.  I still smile the first time I managed to create a Vampire from mixing a human with blood.

Visually it won’t win any awards but it works for the simple way this game just sucks you in.  It has a simple palette of elements with cool colors and icons.  The icons are the best part!  The storyboard and commentary is also quite hilarious.  Try dragging a bunch of elements together repeatedly and listen to what the game says.  It’s pretty funny.

Some games just fade away after being on other platforms but this isn’t one of those games.  Doodle God can be played over and over even when you’ve created everything because you can simply reset your elements.  The four exclusive Quests you have definitely serve up even more fun in this game.  Sins vs Virtues is my favorite!  And you can do the Doodle God version of Bejeweled as well with the minigame modes.
