Halo Waypoint coming to mobile devices

Well it looks like you’ll be able to take your Halo with you on the go soon. On December 10, Halo Waypoint will be available for Windows Phone, iPhones and Android devices alike for free. It’ll come with the usual stats, challenges and rankings flare alongside a cool little companion called ATLAS.

ATLAS (Assisted Tactical Assault System) will be a real-time guidance system for the maps and terrain of Halo: Reach multiplayer matches. You’ll get all of the goodies while you’re playing the game too so it’s pretty impressive. I don’t know how feasible it’ll be to play and reference your mobile device but hey .. it’s coming.

The one bragging point that Windows Phone owners will have is that ATLAS will be free for them whereas it’ll cost $4.99 for Android and iOS owners.

SugarRy : I started to play my PS3 ore recently. Going though infamous which is good. Bought it and never really played it

Nanakai : This is the thing Sugar. We're on Unscripted 360 .com, and yet not a single one of us has showed support for the Xbox One. We're not Sony fanboys or trolls, we simply won't accept what Microsoft is forcing, and silence doesn't fix a thing
Nanakai : I have 5 games for a PS3 I basically got for free lol
SugarRy : I never though I would say that about Xbox since I have supported them since day one. I have only 4 games for my 6 year old PS3. That should show my previous support for MS that is no more.
Nanakai : I don't think I'd trust them even if they apparently change things before launch. I'd still wait until it was well established. Because their statements are all over the place right now. One person from Microsoft says that a banned console will lose all games, then Major Nelson says no that's not true. So no straight answers from anyone about anything
SugarRy : Yep, I hope MS changes their ways. I really want both consoles but I will not buy their console until the 24 hour disabling of my games is changed or fixed to not be so gamer intrusive.
Nanakai : Yes they do, and according to them we're simply 'uneducated' on the benefits of DRM. Oh, and we'll still buy the Xbox One anyway apparently. Their arrogance is EXACTLY the same as Sony with the PS3, anyone can see that surely
SugarRy : I agree Nan. If they are going to do DRM I think it should only be for new games for like 90 days to curb use game sales on launch titles. That would not affect gamers as much and help the Dev\Pub some. But no they want to completely screw the gamers.

Nanakai : Okay, now let's say I stupidly decide to support Xbox One and the bs policies, and I end up with about the same number of games. That means after 15-20 years, when they remove the means for the authentication, I'll have just completely lost nearly £3000 on products which have vanished into nothingness
SugarRy : So you have no internet or games to entertain yourself. LOL
Nanakai : I have about 90 Xbox 360 games right now, which I'll still be able to play (for the most part) for the next 10/20/30/however many years. Let's say I paid on average £30 for each one, that's £2700
SugarRy : God forbid you hard up for cash and you internet gets shut down for one month which happens to people who dont make a lot. All your games would quit working. LOL
SugarRy : Yes, I tried to explain that but the 24 and 1 hour thing pH seemed to think was for cloud services. I gave him the exact MS link showing offline games would be disable at 1 hour and 24hour depending on where you playing from

SugarRy : Any then you have a choice to buy or not buy.
SugarRy : In those cases the game would have to be an always online stated since PS4 has no DRM checking built in.
Nanakai : So there is the plain and simple difference
Nanakai : Whereas Microsoft requires it for all games
SugarRy : Only way they can enforce that is by the Dev\Pub since internet is not required by PS4. Dev\Pub would have to advertise on the game that it only works with Online. But PS4 is not enforcing or doing that.
Nanakai : Do you or do you not have to install and authenticate ANY game (1st party or otherwise) before playing on a PS4?

SugarRy : I would be less critical on the DRM stuff if they only did DRM on new game for like 90 days. That would stop trade ins on new games for a short while. Not a big thing. But disabling games you legally bought. Ridiculous
