When it comes to TV size, many people know exactly what size is too small for their viewing pleasure, but some just don’t know how to figure out when they’ve gone a bit too big. The mistake most people make is not realizing it’s all fine and well to judge picture size by what you can see a comfortable distance from the TV, but it’s pretty tough to get the maximum effect of a 60-inch television in a small room where someone’s only a handful of feet from the screen.
Many people think bigger is better, and when it comes to HD programming it’s usually the case as long as the size of the room the TV is going in is taken into consideration.
Make sure you don’t making the mistake of putting a gigantic TV in a room that can barely show off what it’s capable of. Widescreen broadcasts and HD quality picture may end up being a hassle or could even turn your TV into an improbable work out machine with all the back and forth you’ll be doing to catch what’s happening on both sides of the screen if you’re too close.
Next time you make a TV purchase or know someone who is about to, do the logical thing. Make sure no one becomes a victim of filling up half of their favorite room with a television.

LMAO! i cannot believe this article is making me realize how big my TV is… I bought a 65″ plamsa and im not that far from my tv… its too damn big!!!! like, enough for me to appreciate a 32″ tv…
i will tell you, if you think “i really want that but it miiiiiiight be too big” its too big…

My 42″ was perfect for my room but in the living room I have to have 55″ and up. I feel ya on the too big thing though… At my last job a coworker setup a projector in his house and was proudly talking about how he was breaking his neck looking left to right during sports because his TV was so big lol. I wish I had that problem…. :’(
