Final Fantasy XIII-2 requires one disc, bonus for XIII players
The time is almost near for the latest chapter in the Final Fantasy series to honker down on the Xbox 360. Final Fantasy XIII-2 will thankfully be on just one disc for the console! I know that may raise concern to some who are wanting a huge experience but I need only point you towards another massive game (Skyrim) to ease those concerns. One disc does not mean the game will lack any quality or quantity for that matter.
In fact, Final Fantasy producer, Yoshinori Kitase, stated that it’s because the game uses real time rendering and less pre-rendered movies. Having the game on one disc also allowed the team to display different clothes and equipment during event scenes. (win) It’ll even help load times!

Also in XIII-2 news is the little gem that any player with a Final Fantasy XIII save file on their console will get a special item when they boot up XIII-2. This is all according to Final Fantasy producer Yoshinori Kitase. It won’t affect balance but it will definitely help players he said.
I suppose we’ll see next year eh?

Disc number doesn’t raise concerns to anyone with a brain Harris. Nobody (with a brain) thinks that Final Fantasy X through XII are short, just because they were released on one disc. In fact they’re probably the longest. BUT there is nothing wrong with it being on more than one disc either. Nobody (with a brain) thinks that Final Fantasy VII through IX are bad now, because they’re not on one disc. A lot of gamers are stupid, we already established that.
On to the bonus for having a XIII file, I heard it was extra scenes to connect to the original. So if we have an item too, then that is new news lol.
