Battlefield 3 marches on to 5 million sold in first week
For all the horrible feedback the Battlefield 3 beta received througout the community, it didn’t do much to deter sales according to EA. In its first week worldwide, Battlefield 3 sold through 5 millions units according to internal estimates. Now of course that means it could have or couldn’t have but best estimates are that it did.
“From Tokyo to Los Angeles, Sydney to London, millions of fans have been playing all weekend long — we are overwhelmed by the global response to Battlefield 3,” said Patrick Soderlund, Executive Vice President of the EA Games Label. “It is extremely gratifying to deliver an entertainment experience that delights our fans, and to have the opportunity to introduce new people to the franchise. Already, we are seeing unprecedented play times and online activity which is very rewarding. This launch solidifies Battlefield as a leading entertainment brand.”
Have you played it? What did you think? I’m still of the opinion that it just won’t matter when Modern Warfare 3 launches. I expect MW3 to shatter just about every launch record this year if not of all time. Mark my words on that.

I think its a great game. The single player was just like Medal of Honor (2010) short but good. The game has a different pace than C.O.D. so it will take some time to get use to the style of play. There is a Co-op mode but it’s only online for two players so make sure your Partner has a mic. For the multiplayer like on Medal Of Honor (2010) you can only have a squad of four unlike HomeFront where you can have a squad of six.

I thought it was awful. Way too easy, and I kept getting hit in glitches where my save would start with me dying and I would have to re-load a past save to even play again. really annoying. And if you don’t want to pay 9.99 more (i use gamefly by the way) you can’t even play co-op campaign much less online multiplayer.
EA will never get my money, or my time again.
