One of the problems with Windows Phone and its Xbox LIVE arsenal of games right now is the lack of diversity.  When I think of Xbox LIVE on Windows Phone, I think of a unique system with a vast amount of opportunity to deliver something unique.  Jet Car Stunts for all of its fun isn’t that.

Jet Car Stunts is still the award winning, over the top, addictive, 3D driving game, with massive jumps, mid-air hoops, floating platforms, spiral roadways and outlandish maneuvers in impossible environments that you played years ago.  It’s not going to wow you visually and it will frustrate the hell out of you but it’s still a bit of fun.

Your goal in the game isn’t to beat the other drivers, it’s to make it through the course as you spiral out of control in every way possible.  You have to do this with tilting the phone, pressing the brakes, backwards…forwards…up and down.  The physics in the game make it really difficult at times to control the car especially around turns.

Jet Car Stunts features over 70 levels spread across 3 Game Modes that include Platforming, Time Trial, and Freestyle.  It gives you quite a bit of gameplay but I can’t help but be disappointed in these new games being old games.  Some of them can be played in any era and still maintain their appeal but Jet Car Stunts isn’t one of them.  If you’ve played it on other devices, there’s no reason to play it again unless you want some Achievements.
