Skyrim voice talent revealed

If you’re into this kind of thing, Bethesda just released the Hollywood cast that will be lending their voices to Skyrim.  Christopher Plummer, a two-time Emmy Award winner, two-time Tony Award winner and Academy Award nominee, takes on the role of Arngeir, a powerful Greybeard elder. An order of philosopher monks who are masters of the Way of the Voice, the Greybeards live in silent isolation atop Skyrim’s largest mountain.

Academy Award nominee, Max Von Sydow, stars as Esbern, a chronicler and agent of the Blades who has survived in hiding. Long obsessed with the foretold return of the dragon Alduin, the World Eater, Esbern will teach you how to confront this epic evil.

THE Gears of War 3 Review

Developer: Epic Games
Publisher: Microsoft Studios
Rating Guide: How I Review Games

Review:

Before I start my breakdown of Gears of War 3, let me just say that I love the series.  I’m a huge fan of the game.  There probably isn’t a bigger fan than me of this franchise.  I think I must have played Horde mode and Gears of War 2 about a bazillion times.  It was the video game industry’s version of addiction to me.

The latest entry (and final possibly) was one of my most anticipated sequels of all time.  I helped launch the game as  matter of fact.  I enjoyed Gears of War 3 quite a bit.  Was that because I’m such a huge fan?  I’d have to say for the most part it was.  But will it be enough for those who aren’t die hard fans like I am?

Despite what you’ve heard or read, this is the only Gears of War 3 review you should pay attention to.  Prepare to head to COG Town … whoooo!

RAGE will be 3 discs on Xbox 360!

I know I’ve expressed my opinions on multiple disc games haven’t I?  Well iD Software’s Creative Director Tim Willit just let the cat out of the bag that Rage will indeed come on 3 discs on the Xbox 360.  It will be a single disc for the PS3.  This means that Rage will be greater than Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Skyrim combined considering they’re both on one disc doesn’t it? (wink)

“We recommend installing the game to the hard drive, but you don’t need to install all three discs,” he said. “If you don’t have the space available on your hard drive, don’t stress. Install the first disc, the first chapter, the first half of the game, then when you’re done, uninstall and install disc two. You don’t really need to install the multiplayer disc if you’re really tight on hard disk space.”

I’ll be installing the full game on my hard drive but for those of you out there like EYEGotcha with the original Xbox 360, good luck.  You need to invest in a larger hard drive and do it soon.  The Xbox 360 is beginning to show its limitations compared to the PS3 and its Bluray storage.

What say you?  The game will be damn good but will the disc swapping affect your purchase?
