Burn the Rope isn’t as easy you think.  If you think that setting a rope on fire is easy, then think again!  Well it is pretty easy but when you have to make sure the fire burns all of the rope, it starts to get real tricky.  Why you ask?  Well because the flame can only burn upwards!

Big Blue Bubble decided to stop you from having all the fun and give your phone its time to shine.  What I mean by that is that this game isn’t about just touching the screen at various points.  You actually have to twist, turn and rotate your phone to win at Burn the Rope.  The hardest part is making sure the flames burn up and not down.  You will be constantly flipping and turning your phone … trust me.

The goal is to burn the rope completely and get the gold medal.  You can get a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal depending on how much of the rope you burn.  To add a little spice to the flames, Big Blue Bubble threw in various kinds of bugs to mix up the gameplay.  There are colored ropes that have to be burned with a specific color flame so you have to burn the proper colored bug.  The Firebug is my favorite because once you burn it, an explosion occurs that burns just about everything around it.  It’s quite useful when you have a flame that has fizzled out nearby. 

You can unlock different flame types as you progress and naturally more levels to burn through.  Have I mentioned the music in the game?  Take a bow you big blue bubble you because it’s pretty damn funny.  When you launch the game you immediately hear this Barry White/Billy Dee Williams type saying in a sultry voice .. “BURN THE ROPE”.  Yessir, it be jammin’.

I liked the design of Burn the Rope for the most part.  The flames don’t wow you at all but the colors are vibrant, the bugs are especially “buggy” and there are plenty of levels.
