de Blob Revolution, a new addiction from Windows Phone 7
I had a strange feeling that when I began my trip down the rabbit hole into Windows Phone Land that I would gain a new addiction. I was already slightly addicted to getting Achievements on the Xbox 360. And given the fact that getting Achievements is also embedded into Windows Phone 7, I knew there was a possibility I’d love it there too. Well folks … I do! I currently have a couple of games to blame for that but I’ll point one out right now. That game is THQ’s de Blob Revolution.

Call me an Achievement whore and I won’t argue. But de Blob isn’t just a game that I can farm Achievements on. It’s actually one of the best looking games on WP7. It’s a game that has vibrant colors mixed with some simple gameplay. You drag or tap your finger to guide the “Blob” to safety while freeing the Graydians. He’s bringing color back to them.
The evil I.N.K.T. Corporation has declared “Colour is a Crime!” and leeched Chroma City of all its beauty and interest. It’s a lot different from the console version of the game but it might just be more fun. You don’t get to walk or travel around the citySome of the speed buildings are tough and it’ll take a lot to unlock the other buildings. It’s actually made me want to look into the Xbox 360 version of de Blob.
There are hundreds of stages and it looks great on the 4.3″ screen of the HD7. I’ve been playing it the most since I got the phone. I’m really having a surprisingly good time with Xbox Live on WP7. I knew that the integration would be seamless but you never really know just how seamless it is until you have Xbox Live in your hand.
The experience will get even better for Xbox Live gamers who have a WP7 device when the next update to it hits. Until then, I’m having a damn good time with de Blob Revolution. It was a well spent $2.99. Stay tuned to more on the WP7 games of Xbox LIVE.
de BLOB UNLOCKED.
