Final Fantasy X, Triple I-2 … details from Motomu Toriyama
There’s no denying the rabid fanbase of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy series. They’re some of the most dedicated fans of any franchise and for that I commend them. I’m going to sit down with Square Enix this month and get some up close time with Final Fantasy XIII-2 so get ready.
Before that though, I wanted to share some cool news coming out of IGN today from Director, Motomu Toriyama. I’m sure you’ll enjoy the read.

“The development team are taking all the points of criticism levelled against the previous title very seriously and in FFXIII-2 we are aiming to respond as far as possible to what the players have told us. With regards to the expansive nature of the world map, we have not created it as a completely open-world style game but the gameplay will certainly not be linear this time round.
We have changed the overall game design so that it allows the player to enjoy the freedom of searching and exploring the world, while still maintaining all the good points of the previous game’s story driven play style.” – Motomu Toriyama

This looks more awesome with each passing bit of news, I really can’t wait!
I liked XIII as it was (as others did), but they’re definitely addressing issues that people had with it. So it’s win for everyone.
Btw Harris, if you didn’t know (which you won’t), they originally talked about keeping your save file. Because they’re implementing something which can carry over or unlock. Try and find out off them what it is, they might tell you
If they did, you’d be the first to know!

I think this game will be a disappointment to me. =( I’m upset with some of the choices like multiple endings battle system and deriving away from what made FF a FF game.

I’m still praying for a multi-platform release of Versus XIII pH. I’ll let you know if/when it happens lol
