Borderlands 2 details untrapped
We’re headed back to Pandora next year ladies! I can’t wait to get the latest issue of Game Informer because it has all the sweet details about next year’s already sickly anticipated sequel, Borderlands 2. Take a look at Salvador, one of the new characters in the game. I’m disappointed that we won’t be able to play as the original characters but I’ll get over it. They’ll return as NPCs though so it should be exciting how Gearbox implements them.

The game will be 4 player co-op and have all new weapons (weapons from the first game are scrapped) and a new story. And this time the story is dynamic so your actions will have consequences. Weapons are supposedly being sculptured around the individual manufacturer’s more so you’ll get more flare with them.
What say you? I can’t wait for April 2012 or whenever it comes.

I’m disappointed… GearBox should have made it possible for original Borderlands fans to implement their leveled characters into the sequel, while adding more skill-sets to make it a deeper RPG/shooter hybrid.
We then would have had 8 Characters to play as… They messed up IMO.

They hardly messed up. While New Game+ (which it essentially is) is an amazing feature to ANY game, only a handful of games implement it.
I mean yeah it would have been awesome to carry over, but it’s not like they’ve neglected a video game standard.

Like I said Nanakai… They messed up IMO, and I gave details as in why.
Good RPGs like Baldur’s Gate let you implement your characters from the previous installment… It’s far superior to me than having to start over with characters I don’t give a damn about.
Giving the characters more skill-sets would have deepened the RPG aspects, and that is always the better option.

Okay, fair enough in your opinion lol. Imo it’s just a little disappointment, not a messup

Mike, your always disappoint in some way or another lol. I dont think characters not carrying over will detract from the game one bit but I can see where andy why you would want it. Would it have been nice to have yes, but not necessarily needed. While their may be a few shortcomings or things that could always be better, this game will still be killer and a must buy.

That is the thing with rpg games. You build a connection to the character that you have spent hours building up and you wish you can take them with you to the next adventure.
They did mention that the four characters from the first one will be in the second but just NPC. Maybe you might get quest from them.
We should have a Unscripted Night with Borderlands. I have a lvl 69 Support Solder I would love to do some arenas with anyone.
