HBO GO coming to Xbox?

There’s internet buzz going around that HBO GO will be making an appearance on video game consoles at some point in the future.  I’ve enjoyed watching HBO GO on my iPod Touch and would welcome it to the Xbox 360 if it were to come.  You’ll have to have a subscription to HBO of course and as always a subscription to Xbox Live Gold.

What say you?  Are you excited about Microsoft potentially bringing so much of cable TV to your console?  This wouldn’t be a stretch to believe HBO GO will soon grace the console considering all the partnering with U-Verse and such we’ve heard of over the years.

It’s coming … but when?

I think of this like ESPN on XBOX LIVE. If I wanted to watch HBO, I’ll just turn on my satellite. What’s the point of making it avaliable on a console when as a subscriber, you already have access to it?

HBO GO is great for smartphones and tablets, but on a console it’s just one more thing that’s taking up space on XBOX LIVE.

good point on the subscriber thing .. if they had a way for you to NOT be a subscriber and get it that would be pretty cool

@EYE, ESPN on XBL is different they feature MANY games that they don’t air on their networks in your area or altogether

x352x, the only sports I really watch are football and basketball. I’ve never tried ESPN on XBL becasue like I said I normally watch it on regular satellite but I might check it out. Thanks.

Yeah but if you already have Xbox Live you could subscribe to HBO without having to pay for a whole satellite package if that’s all you wanted. I have both currently anyway, but yeah that’s cool. And if you can watch with a party, even better.

HBO GO on console is a great way for people to watch old shows like The Sopranos and Oz on their big screen televisions. You can’t watch those shows by simply “turning on the satellite.”
