True Crime: Hong Kong gets a save from Square Enix
Whenvever I think of Square Enix I can’t help but think of Final Fantasy. It’s hard for me to see them having a hand in anything else but that’s exactly what they’ve done over the past few years. They’ve been involved in some “other” franchises to expand their reach. And now they’re giving crime a chance with snagging the rights for True Crime: Hong Kong.

The report on Gamasutra also points out that because Square Enix is only publishing the game and not purchasing the True Crim IP, SE will rename the game so it won’t be “true” to the crime. See what I did there? Activision gave up on the game several months ago and worked out a deal with SE to finally bring more crime out of Hong Kong to consoles.
What say you? I was a fan of the True Crime games so I’m excited to see another chapter even with a different name.

Whenever I see a comment like “Reports on Gamasutra suggest that Square Enix plans to rename the game so it won’t be “true” to the crime” I can’t help but think of how Harris-like you truly are.
Square Enix are only picking up the game and publishing it, they haven’t bought/don’t own the True Crime IP, so they have no choice but to rename it. Some facts for you Harris
