E3 2011, Fashion Pause and Start Day 1

As a proud lover of fashion, I take pride in what I choose to wear.  I know I’m a gamer and gamers aren’t supposed to be fashionable because we all simply eat cheetos and skateboard right?  No, that’s not the case.  I actually love to look good even while gaming.  For anyone who has seen me at a gaming event, they know that Deacon likes his fashion.  I know these events are supposed to be laid back and relaxing but who says you can’t look good while doing that?

So with that said, I’d like to introduce you to something new on the gaming scene.  Things like this are done at every entertainment event and I figured why not do it for the nerds and geeks too.  Why not have someone dishing out the “dirt” so to speak about all the fashion at today’s geek events.  Some of these guys and girls like to pretend they’re rockstars so let’s call them on it dammit.

Welcome to the first Fashion Pause and Start (FPS) of gaming!  You see what I did there?  I’ll cover day one of E3 2011 with the initial introduction of FPS.  Here are the rules and they’re simple.  A Fashion Pause is when you should have stopped for a moment and simply started over with the outfit that you chose because it just doesn’t work.  A Fashion Start is the opposite when you’ve definitely got it going on with a good fashion choice and are ready to get it started.

Both Microsoft and Sony can go head to head on the gaming front and you can argue either way on who wins that battle.  But there will be no battles when it comes to fashion because I hold the final call.  If you are attending E3 and you caught a serious FPS, email the photo to me deacon@unscripted360.com and be sure to list FPS in the subject line.  I’m on the job and I’m ready to get the fashion back in gaming!

Okay now let’s begin at the top shall we?

Don Mattrick keeps it simple and clean with a definite Fashion Start to kick off show.  It’s a simple suit with a very nice blue shirt to rock with it.  And it’s ironed…more on that later.  Of course he has zero swagger so he didn’t make the outfit really smoke but simply put, the fashion choice works.

On the flip side of any reasonable fashion sense, we have Fable’s own Peter Molyneux.  You’d think that with a cool accent he’d be the fashion guru but he delivers the first Fashion Pause.  Peter you should have just stopped when you had the chance because the two-toned setup just doesn’t work.  I won’t even mention the shoes.  Take a cue from the game you were talking about and “journey” to the nearest store to buy a better outfit.

I agree with pretty much everything Harris says, I’m shocked at this believe me…let me add

Cliffy B.’s shirt is TOO tight. I don’t know, when you are on stage like this, wearing a tshirt doesn’t impress me. Real men wear long sleeve shirt. If you are hot cuff the damn sleeves

I hate to say this as well, but I did like the Cheshire Cat(Jack Tretton) duds. It’s obvious he likes to flaunt his $$$$
