PSN outage causing fans to trade, trade, trade
Well it appears that our Sony brethren are taking it up the tailpipe in more ways than one. Those of you that are into the gaming scene know that the PlayStation Network has been down for quite some time after being hacked into. There has always been an argument about whether or not Xbox Live is better than PSN. “It’s free online duh teh Xbox Live monies is whacksorz” is what they often say. Why are we paying when it’s free to play online with PSN?
Well you got your answer a little while ago when you were unable to log into PSN and you continue to get that answer to this day. Anyway, reports are coming in that quite naturally many PS3 owners in the UK are trading in their consoles. I think this is pretty stupid because there’s more to a console than simply being able to connect online with it and challenge friends. That’s my opinion.
Should we expect the US PS3 owners to follow suit of our UK residents? Who knows. But I can tell you that this outage has been a serious pain for plenty of people. I have a PS3 but you can probably make a house of all the dust that has settled from my lack of online presence with it.
What say you? How damaging is this PSN outage?

People who bought a PS3 in the UK in the first place are incredibly dumb, and deserve a slap. After how badly Sony fucked us over. I’m not surprised something like that would make them trade it in

Every PS3 owner I have talked to really hasn’t said much. Most just laugh it off. I find the people that play Playstation are loyal to the console and wont trade it in.

I have actually read posts of people saying they are done with Sony over this issue. I also know that MANY will not trust Sony with their Info, or credit card numbers ever again.
Talk about a big loss of revenue with people not wanting to purchase games from PSN. = Sony screwed their own pooch.

I have a PS3 also thank god I never put my credit card information in there. I agree with Mike also MS had the RROD but they at least came up with fix. But loosing personal information a big no no.

Yes, Sony screwed up but trading in a console because of it is stupid.
For all the Sony fanboys that are jumping ship, Sony already has their money!! All the money spent on the console, games, accessories, etc. Sony is sleeping on it at night.
I agree with Thumpthis, XBOX at least came up with a solution for the RROD and it hasn’t stopped Mcrosoft’s sales. All this drama will blow over in the coming months and Sony fanboys will be back online playing SOCOM.
