It’s here boys and girls!  The ability to control Netflix with just the magic of your hands is finally here!  Microsoft released an update today giving Kinect support to the Netflix app.  The next time you go to watch a movie via Netflix you’ll be prompted to update the application.

You’ll be able to do all the things you were supposed to already be able to do when Kinect first launched.  Hey late is better than never right?  So go forth and enjoy some controller-free Netflix!

The Netflix application currently offers Xbox LIVE Gold members who are also Netflix members in the United States and Canada the ability to instantly watch TV shows and movies streaming from Netflix, which contains thousands of TV shows and movies from the major networks and studios, and independent and international producers. Now, through the power of Kinect, your voice is the remote control – just say “Xbox play” to start movie night.
