Spider-Man: Edge of Time announced
Beenox and Activision are headed back to the world of the web slinger with Spider-Man: Edge of Time. Shattered Dimensions was pretty entertaining so I have faith in Beenox to deliver a good experience again.
“At Beenox, we are constantly listening to the fans and looking for new and creative ways to innovate the gameplay experience for them,” said Dee Brown, Studio Head, Beenox. “We want to create a totally distinct experience in Spider-Man: Edge of Time by working with Peter David on the story and creating this urgent, high-stakes experience where time is working against you and the fate of Spider-Man hangs in the balance.”

Spider-Man: Edge of Time is a focused, action-packed adventure set in two connected and evolving timelines, from the contemporary times of the Amazing Spider-Man to the corrupted future world of Spider-Man 2099, against the backdrop of a rich, tightly crafted narrative by acclaimed Marvel veteran Peter David (co-creator of the comic book series Spider-Man 2099).
The game features all-new “cause-and-effect” gameplay, where players will see how the immediate and sometimes unexpected effects of their actions as one Spider-Man changes the timeline of the other Spider-Man. Spider-Man: Edge of Time is slated for release this fall.

comic book games make me twitchy. I want to believe but…
The only one I recently enjoyed completely was Batman of course.
Well we shall see on this one, maybe they will do well

set sail for fail Beenox … I do honestly feel really bad for these studios that Activision forces to do shitty liscensed titles and then won’t back with a single thin dime of marketing money … what happened to Bizarre still pisses me off … one of these days Mr. Kotick and the rest of those blood sucking home wreckers are gonna get a giant dose of reality …
is there really still a market for these games? Spider man IMHO lost it’s viability years ago … hopefully maybe Acti will support this title and its studio instead of leaving them outside in the cold with their dicks swingin in the wind …
sorry for the rant lol … [B]

Definitely on the same page here, these low budget games seem bound for a sale bin before they are ever placed on the shelf. I feel like realistic pricing may help an ip that clearly is not their bread and butter survive, but how long will gamers continue to support craptivision and KoDick churning out inferior products at a premium price.
Hopefully the title can gain an “edge” to it that may allow it to move into that crossover core category. Unfortunately these instances are few and far between.
On the upside my daughter and I may enjoy playing together when it is rent one get free a month after release.
