Gamercard dropping the zone, Boot to Disc back
I’m not sure how many of you ever use the “boot to disc” option in the Xbox Dashboard. I never use it so I was unaware that it had been gone for a while. Well today you’ll receive an update when you connect to Xbox Live that enables the option once more. There are other things included but that was the big thing as pointed out by Major Nelson.
One other interesting thing to note is the update to the Gamecard tomorrow. The little used “zone” will disappear and it’ll be visually streamlined to fit with the new experience. You can see how it’ll look below. I don’t see anything that would prompt an orgasm but hey it’s new. And this will only affect what you see on the forums at Xbox.com…it will not change what you see on your console.

I never knew about the boot to disc?
That mean when you have a game in your 360 and boot it up it loads the game right away? I never keep discs in my 360 so not sure I would even use this feature? How lazy are gamers? VERY I guess LOL

352, i think that’s just online Gamercard changes…it won’t affect what you see on your console.

I never realized the boot to disk was gone either. I used to use it but now I always check the dash first. Didn’t realize it was gone.

Did that update take a long time for all of you? It was like 10 to 15 minutes or so and I have a fast connection.

I saw this on Major Nelson yesterday. So glad the boot to disc is back. I’ve never heard about it but I love it now! I dunno how long the update took I left my Xbox on and came back later.

Only reason I knew the option was gone was because of the tons of people complaining on the forums. I never boot to disk.

Ahh, I always boot to disc now love it. I rarely look at the dash anyways.

Yes it does. Has anyone noticed or had issues with tons of people sending them requests to join boasting and prestige lobbies for 1600pts. Had to report so many people lately its not funny. As soon as this patch came out those requests stopped.

Agreed Im only level 38 or 39 in Blops and have had only 1 invite at most for one of those.
