The games that will KICK ASS in 2011 (part two)
Welcome to Part 2 of what will soon be an infamous Games that will KICK ASS in 2011 List! Take a seat and marvel at the awesome list of games that I’m preparing for you to watch for this year. It may seem a little “role-playing heavy” but I assure you that’s just how it turned out. You won’t mind because the games are definitely worth watching for.
Let’s begin!
–
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – I’ve been a really big fan of Bethesda and the Elder Scrolls series. I really shouldn’t be though considering how much of my time I have wasted running through the massive RPG. But Bethesda is throwing us back into their world yet again this year. Should I just quit my job now?
Mass Effect 3 – Mr. Shepard just won’t quit and neither will BioWare it seems with completing the Mass Effect trilogy that was planned. Where will the adventures of Shephard take us this time? And yes I plan to eventually complete the previous two versions before this one releases!
Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Wow! That’s the one word that comes to mind when I think of revisiting the Deux Ex universe. If you haven’t taken a dive into this world, then do yourself a favor and find the original game. Although this one is a prequel to the original Deus Ex, you simply need to get familiar with its story.
Augment my body now with weapons of destruction!

L.A. Noire – The folks behind Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption have yet another mystery up their sleeve in L.A. Noire. From what they’ve shown the game looks incredible. I have no doubt that the story will be top notch as only Rockstar Games could produce. Sure they’re just publishing the game but you have to assume they’ll have their imprint on it right?. If not, it’ll be a dud and you can shoot me.
Are you ready for a detective crime thriller?
Portal 2 – Was Portal the greatest surprise in The Orange Box? Yes it was. What started out as just a throw-in game soon became the little gem that could. Portal 2 should deliver more of the same madness that the original did. It became one heck of a challenge so I anticipate there will be more challenges and more cake.
BioShock Infinite – The return of Ken Levine to the series should prove to be most pleasant. BioShock fans can agree that the second entry wasn’t quite as polished as the first. Was that due to Ken’s absence? Who knows but it can only help that he’s on board for BioShock Infinite. I expect some “holy shit” moments in this one.
True Crime: Hong Kong – I remember playing True Crime: Streets of LA and thinking to myself that I’d love to see this in Hong Kong going agains the Triads. Did I really think that? Nope I didn’t but when this game was announced I couldn’t help but think “yeah, hell yeah”. I’m a fan of Stranglehold and this seems like a larger version of that in the True Crime setting. I’m ready for some crime!
And let’s face it…it has to rebound from True Crime: New York City right? Hopefully I’ll have much to share in the coming months on this game.

- to be continued
There you have it folks. It’s worth mentioning that I took a look at Metal Gear Solid Rising but it is supposedly delayed until 2012.
Don’t miss out on the final ass kickin’ entry! Part 3 will take a look at a few surprises that span various platforms.

BPD, where in the heck are you seeing AvP for $10 or less. I have looked around but have not found it yet for that price. Point me in the right direction my friend.

@BPD 007, money and time is the issue for me. LOL
L.A. Noire and Bioshock Infinite are the only ones that interest me. But I thought Bioshock Infinite wasn’t coming out until 2012?

Semi related, anyone remember the game I Am Alive? It looked interesting and is supposed to be an Xbox exclsive I think.

@Pimp, cant argue with that. Each person likes different types of games. For example, I dont like ME and BPD loves it. lol

Again, I don’t see anything buy mostly sequelitis in known good selling multiplatform games, and where are the 360 exclusives that caters the core gamer? – Hmmm, it’s happening exactly like I warned about once Kinect hits the market.
