Black Ops DLC, First Strike 1200 Points
Well the cat is out of the bag on the first downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops and to no one’s surprise it’s 1200 Microsoft Points. The pack is called “First Strike” and includes four original multiplayer maps and one zombie map. It’s slated to debut on the Xbox 360 on February 1st.

First Strike Map Pack list
Discovery – Antarctic German research station, abandoned from World War II.
Kowloon – Inspired from the single-player campaign based off of Kowloon city in China. It’s a rooftop map.
Stadium – Hockey rink in northeastern United States.
Berlin Wall – Takes place at Checkpoint Charlie. Is a battle between East and West Berlin.
Ascension – Zombie map.
I know you guys and girls are pretty excited about the 1200 Points price again right? It won’t matter if you are or not. Millions will eat this up again and sooner or later Activision will be looking at 1600 Points for their map packs.
What say you?

On a semi-related note. I can’t believe map packs for like CoD 2 and 3 are still being charged for. Shouldn’t they be free by now?

nuke, right?? are the Halo 3 maps free yet?
December 23rd, 2010 at 1:12 pm
there is not really any chance that i wont decide to not buy this most likely…
December 23rd, 2010 at 7:35 pm
pilex, didnt you post that somewhere else too? lol
December 23rd, 2010 at 9:08 pm
Haha yea Pilex posted that in the smackdown one too. 325 I’m pretty sure some of the H3 maps are free, the first 2 I think.

you know activision just wants our money, look at how many COD’s and Guitar hero games there are. It’s at least one or two a year.
didn’t GH have like 3 or 4 come out last year.
they just want to milk these franchises into the ground.
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:01 pm
I sucks because it just destroys franchises. If Halo had a game year after year on a consistent basis I’d be disgusted.
December 24th, 2010 at 12:07 pm
nuke, get ready then cause thats what is going to happen
December 24th, 2010 at 12:07 pm
btw, im pretty sure there’s only been one GH game released this year…
December 24th, 2010 at 8:48 pm
that must have been 2009, I remember Van Halen, smash hits, and GH5 all coming out last year.
activision just wants to keep them coming.
December 24th, 2010 at 10:44 pm
yeah they had a ton year before last
December 25th, 2010 at 9:00 am
wait till they come out with that plan of theirs about charging for multiplayer.
that’s activision jumping the shark LOL
December 26th, 2010 at 10:51 am
activision has already stated they will NEVER chage for multiplayer in CoD, so i doubt any other “plans” will come up
December 28th, 2010 at 9:35 pm
I don’t think the price is that big a deal, at least they don’t lock you out of 80% of the playlists if you don’t buy the maps like Bungie do with Halo. I’ll definitely be picking up the map packs but that’s because I can I don’t plan on making it a habit. If they were to charge 1600 msp for 5 maps I’d just stop buying the Call of Duty games and play something else I hear Battlefield is good.
December 30th, 2010 at 9:53 am
yeah battlefield had free maps i believe.
I started getting into the multiplayer. I’m having fun with it. Still on the fence about buying the map pack. i stopped by a gamestop to see if any deals for preordering but none so far.
December 30th, 2010 at 6:59 pm
i still need to get on battlefield
January 2nd, 2011 at 10:11 pm
@pH, if you do, hit me up. I have it and will play some multiplayer with you. Its a pretty good game to be honest.

Look guys and Dolls, all I see is complants about map pack prices,Do you think people sit there and make these maps for no wages???.
1200 ms points is not a lot for the hard work and effort put into these maps.
At the end of the day if you like the game you will buy them and if you don’t like the dame you won’t.
