Mass Effect 3 inbound
Remember that teaser image I showed a while back? After weeks of rumor across dozens of gaming websites and blogs, Mass Effect 3 is set to launch globally in holiday 2011 on the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and the PC — this marks the first time the Mass Effect franchise will launch on all three major platforms simultaneously.
“At BioWare, we are always driving ourselves to improve and I firmly believe our best work is still ahead of us,” said Dr. Ray Muzyka, Group General Manager and Co-Founder of BioWare. “We could not be prouder of the team’s accomplishments with Mass Effect 2, and are excited and humbled by all of the recognition the game has received so far. I can not wait! Hopefully this will be a worthwhile Earth invasion. I like how the penultimate shot of the trailer reflects back to the first shot of the first game, with Shepard (I think?) looking down at the Earth while there’s the whole, “Shepard’s the only one who CAN do this” conversation going on.

After getting back into Mass Effect 2 over the weekend, I am absolutely ecstatic to hear that the 3rd one is on its way next year.
I’m hoping that it turns out to have the depth of the ME and the combat of ME2. I also hope that the decisions made in the earlier games will make a bigger difference than it did in ME2.

i just picked up a copy of ME 2 yesterday at gamestop. got ME2, tomb raider underworld and mercinaries for $25. I have to start playing it.

i sure hope that they put in a save file transfer over from ME2. I loved the first Mass effect.

That’s basically guaranteed that a transfer will be an option. I need to do a second playthrough in ME 2 so I get the “evil” path as well. I always play as good the first time for some reason.
