Bing Rewards, use Bing and receive Microsoft Points
I spoke a little bit about this on last Saturday’s live show and I was surprised that no one knew about it. Months ago Microsoft started a promotion with its Bing search engine called Bing Rewards. It’s a program designed to offer you cool incentives for using the search engine. One of those incentives is a 400 Microsoft Points bundle for every 400 points you accumulate.
I’ve done this a few times and have already scored 1600 Microsoft Points using this. The program is US only for now but it’s an easy way to get a 400 Microsoft Points clip if you can manage enough searches. You’ll have to install the Bing toolbar to keep track of your points. You can get started and try to score some points right here.
My apologies for not mentioning this earlier but I thought I had made a post about it when it began. Initially you could earn 100 Microsoft Points for each 100 points you had but now, they’ve increased it to the 400 so it’s a little more difficult to earn.
It can still be done though. Points usually take about 3-5 days to show up in your inbox but it’s well worth it I think.

This is awesome, they accidentally sent me a 100 pt code, and 2 400 pt codes instead of 3 100 pt codes. They emailed me and said to accept the gift, haha.

Yea I guess it was worth the extra few weeks it took to get to me! They started off being sent just a day or two after. But then those took weeks. Oh well free points mwahaha.

Bing is just following a model that has been done most effectively so far by Swagbucks, given the amount of people using it and their active Facebook and Twitter community usage. Bing, so far, just isn’t giving near the amount of opportunities for earning points that Swagbucks does, as they have alot of stuff like surveys and free trial offers you can do to earn quite a few points as well. Right now I’m typically getting enough points for $20-$30 worth of Amazon giftcards with Swagbucks, and I don’t mess with it everyday. Bing is going to have to step up their game to compete with that, though I hope they do! If you’d like to try Swagbucks, please go their via my referral link so I can get a bit of credit for my time posting this. Thanks in advance and have fun!

Just copy and paste that into your browser if it doesn’t allow you to click as a link, and thanks again!

If you redeem your points for 400 Microsoft points do they send you a code to your e-mail or is it tied to your Xbox account?
