It’s a crazy world these days when the next boxing game is overshadowed by MMA yet again. But with Fight Night Champion, the boxing sport will try to reclaim the top spot of violent one-on-one games in your home. EA Sports always brings the most realistic action with their boxing titles and it appears this will be no exception. The game looks absolutely stunning especially with the damage physics.
“The EA SPORTS Fight Night franchise has consistently delivered one of the best sports experiences with each iteration”, said Andrew Wilson, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Development, EA SPORTS. “EA SPORTS Fight Night Round 4 was a genre defining game, and led the way as the industry transitioned to physics-based sports games. EA SPORTS Fight Night Champion will again forge new ground and deliver a sports experience unlike anything seen in the genre to date.”

Fight Night Champion will break the mold of what is expected in a single-player sports game. Players will be introduced to an entirely new way to step between the ropes and experience the drama, emotion, excitement and tragedy of world championship boxing.

Sounds awesome, but this will be the third boxing game released in a short period of time. (granted two are for kinect) May be a bit tough on the sports gamers wallet…this however does look like the version for the core gamer, and the realism looks great. Love the flying sweat after absorbing a heavy blow…

Want! This will be epic and I can’t wait to haz! It still amazes me how improve the graphics with each year and the gameplay behind it is always tight.

Typical EA though, releasing a new version every year. What will make this different????

Actually I have enjoyed the last 2 Fight Night games. I will pick this one up as well, but watch for a deal at Target. I got the last two Fight Nights 1 month after release for $30 each on deals at Target.

$30 is a good price. I’ll wait to read the reviews. Hoepfully this will be a good one.

is this the one that is going to be M-rated?
November 15th, 2010 at 7:40 pm
Seriously EA, buttons are a must! O_O That’s the reason I held out on the last game and never actually bought it. And I feel you BPD, that’s why I rarely buy an EA sports game. I keep saying next year with the new features and keep putting it off. :p Fight night seems to be the only one where they REALLY try to freshen it up with every version.
Yes this will be the M rated game do to the blood sauce.

M rated means blood and gore, and maybe some hottie ring girls in teenie bikini’s. Neither of which make the game worth 60 to me, but i will definitely try a demo. Blood, gore, girls = bonus

damn, didnt even think of the chick factor… WIN
November 16th, 2010 at 6:30 pm
I will never be interested in any games like these lol. In fact, there’s probably more chance that I’d give a Kinect version a go

I love the slow motion punches on the knockouts. Watching the sweat fly off and the wrinkles in the face from the punch. Although after a while it did get old when I went undefeated with Tyson.

@Nan it’s that kind of thinking that will get you “typecast” if you will, well rounded experience is good. For instance I get to play kids games a lot with my children, is that cool, probably not but broadens my horizons.
