I’m really happy to introduce to you guys and girls a pretty cool system to Unscripted 360.  There are a lot of you who consistently take part in the community by posting comments to just about everything that goes up on the site.  I really appreciate that!  Your participation and interest in this place never goes unnoticed.

To reward those of you who continue to support the site and to also encourage more participation from those of you who lurk in the shadows, I decided to introduce points and monthly wins!  Whatchoo talkin’ bout Deacon?

Points Breakdown

Starting today (November 11), each comment that a registered member makes here at Unscripted 360 will result in that member being awarded 5 points.  Each time you comment on an article, podcast, review etc., you’ll be given 5 points.  There is no maximum number of points per month but there is a special medal for reaching a certain point plateau.  If you reach it, that medal will automatically unlock so you’ll know.

If you comment once a day for an entire month, that’s 150 points and a really good chance to win. So it’s not a grueling task.

Points can not be used to purchase anything.  Points are your way of having a chance to win some easy swag.  The more you comment, the more points you get and the better your chances of easily winning.  Comments aren’t the only way to obtain points.  The key is being active in the community and being part of the community.

I’ll let you figure out how else to get points.  You can track the # of points you have in the My Points section of your profile.

At the end of each month, points for all members are reset.  I will not investigate any discrepancy you feel has occurred with your point total so please no emails about how you think you should have more points.

Points Spam

Will this create spammers and people just commenting to gain points?  I’m sure it will however, this is a manual system.  What that means is that I have my eye on every single thing that goes on around these parts which means I’ll see every single comment that goes underneath this point system.

If someone is constantly posting one word comments or spamming, trust me they won’t even sniff the monthly swag.  So tread very carefully my spamming friends because I’m watching and reading.

Points Winners

At the end of each month, the member with the highest number of points will win whatever is listed as the monthly prize for that particular month.  It’s that simple.  No one can win consecutive months and there will be a maximum of two wins per year for any one specific member.

I will make a post at the end of each month highlighting the top commenter for that month.  If you win, you must confirm the win by either responding to the article or emailing me.  If you do not confirm, it will go to the second highest commenter for that month and so on and so forth.
