Veteran’s Month, gamers salute!
Some of my good friends over at Gamers Outreach are doing something really amazing to honor those who have served in the Armed Forces. Tomorrow of course is Veteran’s Day but when you consider all the sacrifices the military has made and continues to make for this world, every day in my opinion is Veteran’s Day.
I served in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years and I did some time in Kuwait, Iraq, Thailand, Singapore and much more of the Middle East. They were some of the best years that I’ve had because of the bond between brothers that every member of the Armed Forces can attest to. There’s something about being a Marine and something about serving in the military altogether.

I salute the brave men and women who sacrifice day in and day out for this country. It’s a tough job especially when family is involved.
Head on over to the Gamers Outreach page to check out what they’re doing. They’re attempting to provide a pretty cool GO Kart to Veteran’s Hospital here in North Texas. It’s a kart made to easily transport video games and other entertainment to patients who have limited mobility. It’s a great thing they’re doing.
Thanks guys and girls. If you know someone who has served in the military, be sure to give them a thank you this month and tomorrow!

As a military family we understand the sacrifices given to us by all of our beloved veterans both living and passed. I want to say thank you to everyone who has ever fought to give me and my family Freedom! Without people like you our country would sure not have survived!

Well I was a squid, and the most dangerous things I was involved with were drug interdiction ops, and sailing a carrier around Taiwan in an effort to dissuade China from firing missile test in Taiwan’s general direction. To all of the other vet’s reading, thank you for your service.

Applebee’s, Golden Coral, Chili’s, McCormick & Schmick’s, Outback Steakhouse, Subway and Dunkin Donuts all have special offers for veterans today..some better than others but I still believe in the support that is finally starting to be repaid to our veterans.
