GameStop’s digital distribution, are you in?
How do you feel about digital distribution? We know how a couple of people feel here at Unscripted 360 but what about the rest of you? I’m not that big of a fan because at some point the servers are shut down and the content disappears leaving you with nothing to show.
Microsoft has done this already with delisting certain games. I’ve had my own experience with digital content disappearing as some of my Gamerpics and other content is no longer downloadable. Well if you didn’t know, GameStop has its own digital distribution center now. So now it’s Amazon and GameStop offering you codes for add-ons and games.
Here’s some info for you from the digital center at GameStop (as if you didn’t know).
FULL GAMES are digital versions of a complete game. They have all the same features – they’re just downloaded directly to your console or computer, instead of being stored on a disc.
For a console, your code will be on the confirmation page you see after purchase, as well as instructions for installation.
For a PC, you receive an email with the code and a link to download the content to your PC.
The code is guaranteed to work. That’s nice to point out isn’t it? I guess some codes out there aren’t guaranteed to work. What say you?

@BPD, I loaded up my gameroom again the other night after like 6 months. Still FAIL. Concept was there, but the games they have available just suck!

Yeah the gameroom is megafail, i had a new room last time i checked. Back on topic – it would be nice to clean up the discs laying around my computer I guess, but like has been said before there would need to be some guarantee i will never lose the rights to my dlc. Also man if those things get erased from your drive or you get a drive failure good luck downloading say 15 – 5gb games. Should only take 17 or 18 hours on a solid connection…
