Unscripted Nights – Halo Reach, October 15
There has been so much Halo talk lately. By now most folks who were at the front of the lines frothing at the mouth for the latest chapter in the Halo series are already well into the swing of things. If you haven’t seen or heard of this latest Halo installment, you would have to be living under a rock! Even my cat watches as I stick it to the grubby little Grunts and horrifying Hunters.
It was Halo that got me so deep into the industry and led me to some of my best friends. However, I have a major problem with Reach. It has made me an addict…a challenge addict to be precise. Since I am one of those people who will do a dare or a challenge no matter what, this has proven to be a personal problem for me. There are many a late night I can’t go to sleep without taking care of the daily challenges.
If it weren’t for real life I would be set up with a catheter and IV. You may not be affected as terribly and maybe you are not en route to the *Reach Rehab center located in Seattle, which is really a good thing. You could be wondering what the point of completing these challenges is and I am here to tell you in one word- Credits. I have my mind made up that I will obtain the Heart Attack Armor Effect. This particular armor effect costs 300,000 credits. This is just one in a handful of armor effects available to those with the right amount of credits and skills.

Since vowing to complete this mission, I have had to do it as effectively as possible due daily time limitations. I choose to hang out mainly in the online firefight mode using the score attack option to play Gruntpocalypse. I have so much fun when playing in that mode. Maybe it’s the sound of cheering children when I pop a grunt between the eyes or the easy credit that follows, no one knows.
Up to now, I would like to have played more multiplayer but because I despise SWAT so much, I couldn’t bring myself to do it frequently. I came across the problem of getting crappy games through match making and that my friends, does not get one quickly enough to a specific credit goal. Luckily, as of last night, Bungie was kind enough to provide a Playlist Update which would have SWAT in its own little section. That means I can stomach multiplayer again so it’s time for an Unscripted game night!
