One of my favorite budget titles on the Xbox 360 just so happens to be Earth Defense Force 2017.  It was a game that featured an insane amount of huge insects trying to kill you and an insane number of weapons to kill them with.  I had a ton of fun just running around destroying buildings and all the crazy damn bugs coming at me.

I felt like I was in an episode of one of those classic black & white insect movies with the giant ants coming after you.  It was a lot of friggin’ fun.

The game features a 6-player Survival mode that pits a human squad against a nonstop onslaught of the largest enemies the aliens have to offer.  And I’m sure that will be an understatement.  You can also dig in to some online co-op (3 players). 

I’m excited about this one.  The first one was just down right ridiculous with the enemies and weapons.  Are you ready for Armageddon?  It releases next Spring…oh the horror in waiting!
