Gearbox announces a free patch for Borderlands!
The guys and gals of Gearbox decided to shell out some more of their awesomeness today at PAX Prime by announcing a free patch that will raise the Borderlands current level cap from 61 to 69.
The patch which will come out around the same time as the Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution
DLC and will be free of charge. It will not require you to download the Claptrap New Robot Revolution DLC as the previous level increase did when it required you to download Knoxx Armory. In order to take advantage of the level increase though, you’ll have to at least have the Knoxx Armory DLC already.
This increase will allow gamers the freedom to choose their add-ons or just continue their grind in the retail release. If you have yet to play this game you need to change that. Check out the review Irish and I did on it. (Borderlands Review)
As far as the support that Gearbox keeps throwing into an already great title, I think it really cements them in as a premiere developer in today’s market. I can only hope they can turn around Duke Nukem Forever. I’d hate to see that game be the downfall of yet another development team.

If anyone is wants to, I have to still do many of the side missions and the Knozz armory in DLC #3, we can coop it.

I wonder if it will have any achievements with it. I also wonder if you can get the “overleveled” achievements through this dlc without buying “Knox’s armory”.

TO EVERYONE: They stated that you WOULD have to have the Knoxx DLC for this level cap to be available to you. Which is obvious if you think about it, how would they be able to offer you these levels if you didn’t have the Knoxx DLC?? lol

Pogre, kiki and I used to play this A LOT….gonna have to get back into the fray. I’m still the old max level.
