BioShock Infinite, prequel in BioShock franchise
Ready to go back to Rapture? Well too bad because Irrational Games and 2K Games are taking on a prequel environment with their latest announcement, BioShock Infinite.

Set in 1912, BioShock Infinite introduces an entirely new narrative experience that lifts players out of the familiar confines of Rapture and rockets them to Columbia, an immense city in the sky. The player assumes the role of former Pinkerton agent, Booket DeWitt and sent to the lost city to rescue Elizabeth, a young woman imprisoned there since childhood.
I don’t know why I’m posting this because the game isn’t scheduled for release until 2012 but hey, might as well start saving if you’re a BioShock fan right?

Gah, this is an atrocity. Make a Americana Steampunk game and tack Bioshock on it? I’m sure it would make a decent stand-alone game. Rune Factory stood alone from Harvest Moon…Just don’t see the point. Guess thats why they call it Irrational Games.

New setting? Check – Solid story? Check – Super graphics? Check – Ken Levine in the project? SUPERCHECK!!!
Don’t care if it’s coming in 2012: I WANT IT!!!
