Kinect $199 bundle teases price at Walmart

Microsoft has yet to officially announce a price for its body motion controller device or the games you’ll have to purchase to play with it.  Kinect and its price has been a mystery to us all but that isn’t stopping stores like Walmart from putting together bundles that seem to tease what the price will eventually be.

For $199 you can have Kinect (the camera), two games of your choosing and a $30 gift card to boot.  If one were to break down the bundle, you can assume that Kinect will cost you about $149 and the games around $25 each.  I’m not sure what Microsoft is doing in their little caves but everyone else seems to be set on a price.

What say you?  Are you interested in making your own bundle at Walmart?  I don’t know how this will fare against the Nintendo Wii at the same price.

I completely forgot the games would be $60. Super Fail! I really have ZERO interest in buying Kinect.

Really, the MOVE is better now. For the same price of the game, MOVE games come with 3D and the regular game I believe. It’s a much better bargain, IMO.

The question is, will microsoft be able to properly market this to families, which I believe that’s their #1 target audience.

And you all know how I feel about Microsoft’s Marketing/PR department.

I personally dont think Move is the better bargain. I have spent so much money on accessories for the Wii for my kids its ridiculous. Not having to buy any of that to do motion sensing gaming with Kinect is cheaper in my mind.

    Breakdown:
    WiiFit $100
    Nunchuck X 4 = $45
    Wii Controller X 3 = $117

    Already over $250 bucks…

Also, what in the heck is with that white globe anyways? The controller looks stupid. Also I already have a Wii and the controller/nun-chuck setup so I don’t want to buy more of the same crap. If I do go with another motion gaming type setup it wont be Move.

For me its something new and different or nothing at all. Kinect will sell well and they will sell a lot of them. My concerns is not with how well it will sell but more on how it will work and what issues they are going to have. Unless I get it for my Kids I will just stay away from motion gaming completely for now.

Yeah, I agree with SugarRy. The Move is not a better bargain nor even a better product. With that being said, this WalMart bundle looks promising.
