Black Ops aiming to outpace Modern Warfare 2
Do you hear that? It’s the sound of cha-ching ringing loudly in Activision’s ears once again. Word around the web is that Call of Duty: Black Ops is outpacing its “other studio” rival Modern Warfare 2 in the pre-order department. Damn you Call of Duty brand!
I’m convinced that Activision could literally call this game Call of Duty: Exactly What You Played Last Year and it wouldn’t matter to the general public at all. It appears like Black Ops will sell upwards of 12+ million copies this November. Holy fudge nuts Batman!

thats exactly it deac. its just going to be like world at war, it will have a good campaign because treyarch is not bad at that but when it comes to multiplayer it is going to be MW2 with new skins for new levels. the game play and whole thing with the perks and challenges will all be the same. wont be buying this.

I am going to play this game for the single player campaign but I am not to excited about the MP. There just isn’t anything else they are adding to the MP to make me interested. Will I play it some yes, but not like I have in the past. Its just the same old thing over and over. No I will not prestige either. One time through is about all I can take.

You are right. The industry has the habit of regurgitating titles repeatedly. We continue to support those actions so the fault is ours.

Well I care for the former IW employees because what Activision did to then was out right wrong!!! Also lots of people care and whats wrong about just MP!?!? @ BPD
The game looks good but it wont be the same because its made by Treyarch…
BUT!!! the general gaming audience does not know about the difference between the publishers because there are not informed like us. All there will see is the Call of Duty name so it will sell BIG!!!
BTW: I will be getting Medal of Honor.

Neither the Cold War or the Vietnam War has been featured in any Call of Duty game so far so I don’t get why everyone is saying this is going to be a regurgitation of MW2. In case you guys didn’t catch it, the events of MW2 were fictitious.. Black Ops is going to feature real world events. But you know, whatever its always fun to exaggerate and over simplify shit to benefit our own thoughts and arguments…

@ DangerDoll, I agree that if we as gamers are tired of developers putting out the same games with different titles, then we should speak with our wallets. I’m not hating on people who are going to pick this game up (I may be one of them) because everyone can agree to disagree. There’s not right/wrong choice when it comes to gaming.
If this game is anything like Call of Duty World at War then it should be pretty good.
