Dead Space Ignition, XBLA prequel
I am Isaac Clarke. Or rather I loved being Isaac Clarke in Dead Space and I will become him yet again next year when Dead Space 2 releases. Now it looks like I’ll be able to be get some Dead Space action on well before next year’s release. EA just announced Dead Space Ignition, a comic style prequel to the events of the sequel. It will be available this Fall.
“Dead Space Ignition is the first of many exciting game extensions we have planned for the launch of Dead Space 2,” said Steve Papoutsis, Executive Producer on Dead Space franchise. “The interactive comic-style game will give Dead Space fans a unique perspective on the events leading up to Dead Space 2, but will also introduce the storyline to a brand-new audience of gamers.”
Dead Space Ignition combines an interactive comic-style story with three unique hacking mini games; Hardware Crack, Trace Route and System Override. Each game offers a fun and satisfying arcade experience that will challenge players with puzzles and twitch gameplay.

Awesome. So this takes place BEFORE Dead Space 2, right?

Still have not played the original Dead Space like I want to. Guess its time to knock it out with this on the way.

This is exciting. For those who haven’t played the first one and like shooters, check it out. When Deacon wrote his, Dead Space vs. Resident Evil 5, article last December, it made me buy it. I was completely blown away with how much fun it was. I’ll definitely be checking out “Ignition” prior to DS2.
