Kinect, a look at controlling the dashboard
One of the biggest features of Kinect is the ability to control the dashboard and everything inside it. Microsoft is going to introduce a Kinect version of the dashboard that appears to come with everything that the normal dashboard has. Here’s a video showing how you’ll be able to use your hands and voice to navigate movies, music and all the other dash features.
And one quick note on the video is that the developer points out that you can in fact navigate Kinect both standing and sitting. It’s still not quite Minority Report but it’s a start.

I agree with No Hands, but I think if I did get Kinect, I would use it more often for this purpose, rather; than playing the games(gag).
The voice thing is kind of cool, but how many time are we going to have to repeat ourselves until it works.
They should take a voice sample from you and store it with your profile so it would work more efficient.

Looks cools if it actually works but I still see myself as more of a remote type of guy. Who knows though… Maybe they will make a believer out of me once I actually try it.

Let’s wait and see how people employs the new features that Kinect offers before buying one. To tell you the truth, just for Dance Central is a buy for me…
