Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Cops are back!
I’ve been a fan of the Need for Speed series for a long time. With the exception of Need for Speed: ProStreet, I’ve pretty much enjoyed them all. But the most fun I’ve ever had with a Need for Speed game is when I was trying to get away from the cops! I mean let’s face it why would I have a need for speed if it wasn’t to get away from the cops? Criterion Games, makers of the Burnout Paradise, is bringing the glaring sirens of police back to Need for Speed.

“When the team at Criterion Games got the keys to one of the biggest racing franchises, we wanted to take it back to its roots,” said creative director Craig Sullivan at the press conference, with “exotic cars, epic drives, and hot pursuits,” and a “full career as both a racer and a cop.”
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit will be released for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii on November 16 in North America, hitting Europe on November 18 and 19.

I am a huge fan of the Need for Speed Series of games. I will probably pick this one up as well as I know I will play it as well as others in my house. Never finished Shift but it was a well made game so I expect this to be just as good if not better.

Seems like just the other day we were talking about what games we wished “would be revived” and/or brought back…this game was honestly at the top of my list, it was just “fun” to play. And I honestly shoved my monitor off my desk when I read it was on its way back! Not only on it’s way back, but Criterion is puttin’ the work in on it? SOLD! The trailer, gave me goosebumps…and I am man enough to admit it. I can’t wait for this one, can’t wait to play it with friends over live…for the first time in a long time, I’m thankful about a game being released. And to me, that says a lot. I KNOW the vast majority would agree that it’s all been downhill since the first Hot Pursuit, and I am thankful that this game in particular is in such good hands (Criterion) with a tested formula that will produce nothing but, good times with friends, smiles and mild trash talking. Can’t friggin’ wait. Can’t wait.

I cannot wait for this. Hot Pursuit 2 is the best game in series and it looks like this version picks up where HP2 left off.

I’m glad to see they have revived this series. Hot Pursuit was the only reason I liked Need for Speed. When they started to go into other series I lost interest but I’m glad it’s back.
