Gone are the days!
Well with the USB stick support being added people are really geeked up for the recent update. Most of you have probably picked it up and are debating whether the M$ brand stick will make you cool enough to merit spending double the price. Just to clear that up for you, it isn’t!
Though the high price tag on the flash drives aren’t what I’d call “cool”, there is a feature worth talking about that may have wiggled its way under your radar.
Mass Data Movement FTW!

Gone are the days of individually selecting game saves and then transferring them to your memory unit one at a time. So while the USB flash drives are the hotness to most, the Mass Data Movement is the glue that holds it together. So maybe it’s not as outwardly sexy as 16GB USB flash drives but it sure does make using them a hell of a lot easier. Oh and for the record I think the XBOX branded drives are ugly and what is the little white nub for anyway?
Well I guess it is what it is right? Not to me! The big issue I have here is the price tag as usual, with the 8gb coming in at 35$ and the 16gb at 70$, it’s what we in the know call…crazy ass stupid.
For those of you with sensible tendencies you can buy a Sandisk Cruzer, which actually looks better than the 360 branded version for 14$ (8gb) and 29.50$ (16gb). I didn’t even look for better pricing on other brands. I was too nauseated. Feel free to post your deals and feedback in the comments section. I’ve heard there are nerfing issues with non 360 branded drives. If you’ve experienced any oddities when dealing with the USB flash feature let me know.

Not even the tiniest thought of buying one of those has crossed my mind. I really can’t believe that people will buy those at that price (well I can, but you know)

I’m actually very happy about this. Updated my Xbox last night. I will be formatting my new 8gb USB stick this weekend.
What can NOT be copied(ie MOVE ONLY) to a USB stick besides your profile?

Not sure BPD, but I do know my disgust for m$ cannot be transfered to any flash drive.

When I say new USB I did NOT buy the Microsoft branded one. I bought a Patriot, because well…I’m an American damn it

I’m kinda surprised Microsoft has opened this option up! Definitely a plus if you’ve used more than one Xbox at any point in time, and also allows for more storage space! Can you download and run demos or XBLA games from USB? Or play music?

You can definitely play music Fox. And I don’t see why you can’t play Demo or XBLA games from the USB drive, since you could do it with their previous memory units.
