Modern Warfare 2, Stimulus Package maps 1200 points
Happy Monday everyone! Well perhaps that was a little presumptious of me considering the news running around the web about the price on Inifinity Ward and Activision’s Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package. It appears the price has been set for the 3 new maps and 2 remake maps. That price is 1200 Microsoft Points. On March 30th you’ll have to decide where your allegiance lies.

Here are the maps:
Bailout – An “overrun apartment complex”
Storm – An industrial park “in the middle of a rainy downpour, tense thunderstorm”
Salvage – An abandoned junkyard”, with a “snowy terrain”
Crash – Urban map with a downed heli, one of the classics from COD4
Overgrown – It’s “wide open, great for snipers”, the other map from Modern Warfare 1
What say you? Naturally there are a few people saying the price is too much but for every few of those people there are thousands (maybe millions) more who will purchase the maps. What will you do?

Should be getting my codes to download these so cant wait. But if I didnt have a code I would buy them for sure.

Its too pricy for me especially for really 3 new maps. I can wait for a price drop.

It’s too expensive, but they will still sell like crazy. The sheer number of people that bought the game guarantee that. I don’t own MW2, so they won’t get my cash.

idk, its hella expensive.. and you know they’re prbly not gonna have achievements so idk if i’ll buy it…

Wait what are these codes I am hearing?
I just don’t know, part of me says a lot of people will buy this, and another part says they won’t
I barely play MW2 anymore so I won’t be buying it. I find the price to be ridiculous.

I wouldn’t even think about downloading these, if it weren’t for the Monster Energy Drink codes. That’s crazy high for 5 maps.

wow really? what a joke … thank god I have no interest in these maps at all or I would be pissed … this news alone put me over the top … Im selling my copy on E-Bay and getting BC2 to scratch my MP shooter itch … suck my balls activision, you arent gouging this consumer

The whole “Stimulus Package” name makes sense now…. It’s essentially a stimulus for Activision, even though they don’t need the money.
With that said, I can’t say I’m surprised by this.

I have two sets of codes for this map pack coming at me from the Monster energy drink promotion. If I didn’t I would not buy the map pack, too expensive.

Have codes coming but it would be a purchase I love the MP but also getting free BF BC 2 DL free that day yeah so a good day to be a FPS

If the DLC included some extra Spec Op missions I might be slightly more interested in buying this. But as it stands now, no thanks.

I do like the fact there adding more hardcore game types

I’ll keep saying it. I hate this trend. I wish there some way to get people to not buy it but unfortunately they will. This will result in me losing prob half of my xbox live friends for a while bc i won’t be able to play with them bc I refuse to buy it. Oh well I was probably going to stop playing when Splinter Cell came out anyway but F>> U Activision.

They can count me out until it drops. I’d rather spend my points on Perfect Dark this week.

@qwikstreet
I’m in the same boat. Already bought Perfect Dark!

[...] those of you who spent 1200 Microsoft Points this morning will have to wait a while before you can be stimulated. And for those of you [...]
