February NPD, 360 outsells Wii, Big Daddy trumps all
The month of February proved to be a pretty good month for Microsoft and the Xbox 360. It continues to outsell the PS3 and for the first time in a bazillion years, it has managed to push more consoles than the Nintendo Wii. This should add to the ongoing discussions that fanboys like to have I’m sure. Heavy Rain for the PS3 didn’t do as well as Sony would have hoped I’m sure. And what happened to MAG?
It also seems like Mass Effect 2 has reached its peak. Take a look at the NPD numbers for last month.

By the 360 only outselling the Ps3 by 66k, the Ps3 outsold the 360 in Worldwide figures even with a supply issue. Ps3′s Dante’s Inferno outsold the 360 version, with GoWIII coming soon after. Mass Effect 2 fell far in two months. I’m also surprised Heavy Rain made the Top Ten at all. Bioshock 2 sold good like I knew it would.

Heavy Rain was only out for 5 days in Feb. and it had supply issues. So, nearly 220,000 isn’t all that bad.

I thought the Alien vs Predator guys were boasting about how well their game sold compared to other big titles in Feb… I see no evidence here.

Goon… AVP sold very well for the few days it was out in FEB. It got edged out by Heavy Rain, so it came in 11th with around 200K sold on the 360 alone. The places where it really sold well was the UK & Australia. Who knows how well it sold on STEAM

Totally agree with you, GameSkills. Haven’t Sony figured it out that they would sell more PS3 if the PS2 was not around?!?
And the DS is not a console? Defenders please take a number…

@ Tyrone Hawk, if PS3 was backwards compatible I would definitley get one. I still play my PS2 games every once in a while.
And any gaming device that you can hold in your hand is a handheld not a console.
