I’m your Huckleberry!!!!
Well where to start, for some time the community has dealt with the unwavering opinion of some who are never wrong…. I feel it’s time to accept the challenge so to speak. So haters, in the immortal words of Doc Holiday “I’m your Huckleberry!!!”
I have always taken pride in reporting accurate information that leaves room for expansion and growth based on the further understanding of subjects. So it may come to no surprise that I have taken offense to a comment posted on my article written on FFXIII.
I wrote the article with wiggle room intentionally, things may change, but “AS OF NOW” it is where we stand….period.
So let’s delve into the world of someone who is never wrong and see what we can find… the response below screams break me down point by point so come with me while I respond… The italicized text is the comment my remarks will be in a bold font.
What a Joke of an article…Thanks I know I’m a funny guy!! Lets talk about Metacritic for a sec, & look at reality..And which reality yours or mine? My reality shows metacritic as being the most unbiased review site available to gaming professionals because all reviews are averaged together so one bad or good score can’t sway John Q public the wrong way. The Ps3 version has 45 reviews in for it so far, while the 360 version ONLY has 22 as of NOW. So to compare their scores, & say “Well as of now MetaCritic says bite me nay sayers.” is total ignorance. Actually it’s based on avg. so whether it’s 22 or 45 the average score regulates itself, it’s called fairness. The “bite me” part was my own creative way of saying you were “as of now” wrong, because you were, not because I think it, but because the reviews show it.
Now lets get to the differences between the two versions… Well for starters the 360 version’s gameplay does not run in native 720P (Fact is it’s 576P) Proof on this would be nice but while you can produce a screen cap of someone’s DLP projector stats, it in no way shows any relationship between the game itself and a 576p native resolution. while the Ps3 version does run in native 720P. CGI cut-scenes are 720P on the 360, but the Ps3 version also blows it away at 1080P. We have known this and most reviews have commented on the compression in the 360 version but it obviously hasn’t swayed their overall score – result failed comparison. Jaggies, dithering, missing shadows, & lower res textures are far more common & easier to se oops typo on the 360 version compared to the Ps3 one. Speculation Hell why bother seeing the truth when many here can’t. I guess you would need to be unbiased and willing to accept when you were wrong to see the truth.
So I leave you all with this… I would never take Pilex’s word I don’t think I asked anyone to take my word for it I provided metacritic data for it over a site that has done comparisons for every game (That has gave the 360 an edge in just about every multiplatform game) let alone many reviews stating the Ps3 version is the superior version. WTF does this sentence mean I got lost about 4 words in Here’s all the proof I need – http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-final-fantasy-xiii-face-off?page=1 and let’s put 1 review in front of a site that averages all of these reviews into a real score…hmm sounds like a way better plan than mine…I’m glad that’s all you need because I like to form opinions based on all available accurate information that I can read…I suppose I could just go watch some guy streaming a game through justin.tv on a standard def cap card from his room playing on a 19″tv. Oh and I didn’t see any apology in there for being wrong about the lip syncing…still waiting.
Oh and by the way only providing information that backs up your argument always ends up in the same place…but I suspect you’re already there. UBER FANBOY

I also found nothing wrong with your original post dood … most of us realize that all you were doing was trying to relay to the masses that XIII on 360 wasnt just 3 discs of ported cowflop …
the majority of the 360 install base needs to hear more about games like this and give them a chance … yes there are games out there other than shooters !!!!
also, last I checked this is an xbox-centric blog … we try to be as unbiased as possible (we are all just gamers afterall), but when the obvious is staring you in the face, what point is there in blindly revering one version of a game over another?

Good luck with that apology, unless an apology is a personal attack these days. He was a complete hypocrite about Digital Distribution as you’ll see, saying it’s good for Mac just because he’s an Apple fanboy. Nope, I never said anything about Lip synching being off… I did however talk about the Japanese Ps3 version not having any translations in English text – So to assume, makes you the first half of that word.
Now for Metacritic’s scores… Most Intelligent people know that as more reviews come in the scores get lower, so with the 360 version having only 22 reviews in so far compared to Ps3′s 45, does make you ignorant to compare them at this time.
Last but not least…The article I posted – http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-final-fantasy-xiii-face-off?page=1 – IS NO REVIEW… They are known to compare Ps3/360 games, & give accurate info on each. They know far more than you, or anyone else here Pilex. So it’s you who are jumping to conclusions while trying to sway any gamers from skipping the 360 version in favor of Ps3′s superior version.

Lol, It’s sad that people still compare graphics from the PS3 and the XBOX on a multiplatform game.
If you care that much about it running in HD or SD, the FPS, missing shadows or speech not being in sync with lips then maybe you shouldn’t be playing computer games. I don’t think I have really played any game where everything is perfect. Something is usually wrong but I don’t let it take anything away from the game.
I enjoy my games and have played them since I was about five years old. I don’t really care about shadows missing or some stupid glitch in a game. Do you know how hard and complicated it is to make a game? Let alone a game of FFXIII size.
If you’re always going to take someone else’s view on a game from another site over this one, then why the hell are you here reading these posts and posting comments on them?
Oh btw think of the name of this website, the view will more than likely be more towards an XBOX version than the PS3 version but they will still try and have an unbiased view on them both.

I CARE because I like giving out REAL info, truthful info, info that’s not manipulated by the name of a site towards it’s biased followers. I CARE because I will always support the better version/tech to push the envelope instead of supporting inferior/weaker tech that takes everything backwards to the worst in quality. Oh, and I don’t care if you really don’t care about graphics/issues in games… You are not me, or any of the other people in this World who do care.
Who said I always take someone’s else’s view… Are you stupid or something? I give my views all the time. I’m the one who told Nanakai in the beginning that FFXIII will look better on the Ps3 before it was even known. I just used common sense = Something that many here are lacking.
