Johnny G4 on the spot…

Our friends over at G4 network seem to be following a story on some abnormal happenings in the halls and offices over at Infinity Ward..

“In an SEC filing this morning , Activision cited a human resources investigation into ‘breaches of contract and insubordination by two senior employees at Infinity Ward.’ “…much speculation has been rumbling around the internet and we love to be in the know.

Looks like their may be some people moving around in the gaming community… and rumor has it Activision sent in a bunch of thugs (bodyguard types…not real thugs, save your emails) to maintain their Pimp Hand on the situation. If it’s true I bet a few of our fellow geeks may end up talking to the in house counselor…

I especially liked Double Fine Founder Tim Schafer’s quote .”Getting mad at Activision for this kind of thing is like getting mad at an ape for throwing feces,” said Schafer. “It’s just how the beast communicates.”

Hop on board as the information surfaces about the inner workings of one of your favorite game devs…

The Original story: as quoted from G4 staff member Patrick Klepek

Something’s happening at Infinity Ward right now.

A source close to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 developer just informed me that a “bunch of bouncer-types” just showed up outside of the Infinity Ward offices unannounced. When approached by employees, the non-uniformed “bouncers” were unwilling to disclose why they were there.

“Everyone is on edge,” said my source.

Infinity Ward studio heads Vince Zampella and Jason West reportedly met with Activision this morning and have not been seen by Infinity Ward staff members since. My source did not delve into specifics, but described the relationship between Infinity Ward and Activision lately as “tense.”

The mood around the Infinity Ward offices is currently described as “freaked out” and “confused.”

“We just wanna make our games,” said my source.

I’ve contacted Activision for comment on the ongoing situation at Infinity Ward. Stay tuned.

Grant Collier was another co-founder of Infinity Ward but he mysteriously disappeared from the company some time after CoD 4 was released. He was probably the best of the 3 co-founders and things haven’t been quite the same since his departure.
