EA shutting more games down online

EA made its list and now you better check it twice because you won’t be able to play them online after February.  EA had done this routinely now over the last few years so I guess it’s not that much of a surprise but seeing a game as recent as Madden NFL 09 is a bit of a “wtf” moment.

Servers for the games listed below will be shut down on the indicated dates. You may continue to play the games online up until these dates, but certain community programs may begin to close down prior to the shutdown dates.

NBA 09 Wii – Europe only
NBA Street (2007) PS3 and Xbox 360
NCAA Football 08 PS2
NCAA Football 09 PS2
NASCAR 08 PS2
NASCAR 09 PS2
NASCAR 09 PS3 and Xbox 360 – Europe Only
NFL Tour PS3 and Xbox 360
NHL 07 PSP and Xbox 360
NHL 08 PC
Tiger Woods 07 PC
Madden 09 Xbox 360 and PS3
Madden 07 Xbox 360

This recent shut down has prompted Xbox 360 Achievements.org to host another online challenge to see if they can get thousands of people online with NBA Live 07.  If you have the game, read about the challenge here.  Achievement hunters will definitely want to read up on it.

    I wouldn’t be surprised them shutting down MAdden 09 because 10 SUCKS and more people are probably playing 09 LOL

    Oh it’s Madden 09 on the Xbox1, sorry I thought they were shutting it down for the 360. Still though, they should have never released 09 for the Xbox1.

    Ah yes I saw this, thankfully Burnout Revenge lives to see another year online. I don’t own a single one of those games

    no, they’re not dropping Tiger Woods. they’ll have PGA Tour Tiger Woods 11 this year.

    I hate EA. Why arethey allowed to do this? This makes it so achivements aren’t ahievabke anymore. EA is just so cheap they stink.
