Let it snow! Avatar Wave: Snowball Fight!
Remember that one time in band camp when you talked about doing cool things with your Xbox Avatars? I hope that cool thing involved taking a snowball and shoving it right in the face of other Xbox Avatars. The creative minds at Hotwave Games presents an insanely awesome thing to do with Xbox Avatars. Snowball fight!!!

“Snow is the most dominant in the feeling of Winter and thus we decided to make a snowball fighting game,” said Lead Programmer, Percy. “In the development process, we always keep the gameplay simple so that a wide range of players can have fun with it. Players can find some tactics in the game and they can defeat enemies easily by mastering those skills!”
Why dream of a white Christmas when you can download and create your own with Avatar Wave: Snowball Fight!? It’s the next best thing to actually making your own snowball and hitting little Billy in the face with it. The best part is that with Avatar Wave: Snowball Fight the screaming mom heading straight towards you for breaking her little boy’s nose is out of the equation. Don’t break a nose, break an Avatar!
Take a look at the game in action here. Give your audience the gift of news about this game. It’s available now on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 240 Microsoft Points. From the Xbox dashboard, just head to Games Marketplace > Indie Games. You can queue it up for download here on Xbox.com.

I don’t think I’ll buy any Indie games. I feel like I get more for my points, when I get Achievements with an XBLA game unlike one of those
December 21st, 2009 at 4:15 pm
you will buy it Nanakai! curses to you! lol. that’s what Indie Games are though…independent sometimes of any promotion, marketing etc…independent of the benefit of being a full XBLA game….doesn’t mean it isn’t a game still. and a game that you could enjoy. remember life before Achievements? lol
still…it’s only 240 points which is likely one of the few things Indie Games has in its corner…the price.

i can’t even buy indie games lol… we’re not allowed to acces those here in the netherlands. i did download some with my US account when they launched the service though. and i still have the biology battle trial on my 360. that one is awesome.

Yeah I see what you’re saying Deac, but it doesn’t apply to how I see Achievements lol. You see, you could say that to someone who only gets Achievements to boost their Gamerscore. But I feel like Achievements add replay value to a game.
Take Peggle for example. Yes it’s fun, but I have better games to play. So if it didn’t have the Achievements for me to obtain, I wouldn’t have a reason to keep going back to it. It would have been fun for 5 minutes then left for good.
So yes Indie games are cheap, but there are games just as fun on the web for free right? So the only thing that would change my opinion is add Achievements (never happen), or make them ALL 100 points or less. 100 points for temporary fun is okay, but over half the price for some XBLA games isn’t. Anyway that’s just my opinion, and I’m probably in a tiny minority
Enjoy your snowball fights lol, I’m going to have a real one with this extremely rare snow Manchester is getting right now!!

nanakia you closet achievement whore
December 22nd, 2009 at 9:41 am
C’mon Nanakia, you know these people have to eat somehow!
I tested it yesterday night and it trully looks promising. At least the Indie developers are doing so much more with the Avatars than the flagship developers (?!?). We already have a good golf game, while the current XBLA titles, 3D Minigolf and Golf: Tee it up are staying the same.
Maybe the lack of achievements keeps the overall gamers from these titles, but if it wasn’t for them, we couldn’t have Dead Samurai.
Love your indie developer! Buy an avatar game today!

Haha never Deac!
“At least the Indie developers are doing so much more with the Avatars” – you DID just say that right lol, I thought nobody cared about avatars?? Just like nobody cares about Natal. Does that mean the stance on that will change after it’s out? =/
Let someone make a FF trivia Indie game, they’ll earn a mighty feast from that lol.

Downloaded Avatar Drop last night- it is the stupidest game I’ve played in a long time! That didn’t stop me and my bro from playing it for an hour, lol.

This looks promising. I hope this opens the door for more Indie developers to create more games for the Avatars. Any game with Avatars is better than buying a avatar pet that I can’t even do anything with or a remote control plane that I can’t fly.Waste of money.
