Resident Evil 5 takes the cake simply because Isaac Clarke was a one man wrecking crew essentially.  I don’t think Dead Space would’ve been what it is with co-operative play.  It could surely work with co-operative play but being that it forced you to survive on your own.  Being out there alone added significantly to the enjoyment.

Of course there was Lisa and Hammond helping you out but they weren’t quite as effective as Sheva nor were they as helpful.  Isaac had to do all the killing by his lonesome for the most part.  And can I just pick RE5 because Sheva was pretty hot?

Boss vs. Boss

It’s difficult to decide which boss would be the best against which in these games.  They both have some pretty grotesque creatures trying to kill you.  I might have to give the nod to Dead Space simply because they were massive and scarier.  The boss battles in Resident Evil 5 were more of a chore than a scare. 

Both of them were freakishly crafted but Dead Space’s Necro bosses were just a tad bit more “boss worthy”.

Isaac Clarke vs. Chris Redfield

It’s hard to argue this but for the sake of keeping things going I’m going to point out the fact that Isaac Clarke was capable of wearing a pretty kick ass Scorpion Rig Suit that looked like it could stand up to anything Chris could toss at it.

Chris on the other hand can hold claim to nothing but a bulletproof vest at most.  If we take weapons away (and I will), then I’d say Chris would probably use his expert physical training to get the best of Isaac.  Let’s face it, Isaac was just an engineer and I don’t know many engineers who could do a reverse assault kick.

Mr. Redfield you win the battle of the male lead.  Although if we were to keep this in-game, Isaac Clarke may have the upper hand being able to move and shoot at the same time versus Chris “I-can’t-move-when-I-shoot” Redfield.
